SportScheck-RUN 2025: Massive bus diversions and closures in Munich!
Next weekend, the colorful atmosphere of the “SportScheck-RUN 2025” will liven up the streets in Munich. The event will take place on Sunday, July 6, 2025 and is expected to attract around 17,000 participants. As sueddeutsche.de reports, the period of restrictions will last from Saturday, July 5th, 7 p.m. to Sunday, July 6th, 7 p.m. Please pay attention to the closures around the university, the Siegestor and the English Garden, which will result in necessary bus route diversions.
The affected bus lines include lines 54, the Cityring lines 56/68, line 154 and the night bus lines N43 and N44. In particular, bus line 54 will be rerouted between Mauerkircherstraße and Münchner Freiheit and the Chinese Tower, Thiemestrasse and Giselastraße stops will be eliminated. Instead, the Hirschauer Straße stop will be relocated to Tivolistraße.
Details about the diversions
The details of the diversions are complex and primarily affect more frequently used stops:
The Munich Transport Company (MVG) asks passengers to inform themselves about the changes in good time. Use the “MVGO” app or the MVG website to get to your destination safely and not get stuck in traffic.
