Circus Simsala celebrates 20 years – big gala with children on August 23rd!

Things are happening again in Munich this summer! The Simsala Circus, which is now celebrating its 20th anniversary, offers a very special holiday program for children. From August 13th to 23rd, children aged six and over can take part in all-day workshops. This week is not only an exciting distraction during the holidays, but also valuable support for working parents who can rely on their kids' creative talents.

The workshops last two weeks and offer the young participants the opportunity to try out various circus arts. The highlight will be the big gala show on August 23rd at 2:30 p.m. in the gala tent next to Oberbiberger Str. 49. Around 110 circus children will present the tricks they have learned from the workshop “Children’s Circus Attractions – Circus Simsala”. From funny clowns to wild acrobats to elegant tightrope walkers and agile rope skippers – there is plenty of entertainment to be had.

Holiday offers for all kids

The Simsala Circus is part of a larger cooperation project that involves numerous organizations, including the social department and the Munich-City District Youth Association. The aim of this project is to create over 600 full-day holiday places for children and young people. The focus here is on inclusion: children with disabilities should be given priority in the offerings, without anyone having to be left out, regardless of their origin or gender.

In the workshops, the young circus artists work with trained staff and a qualified circus to put on a spectacular performance. In addition to intensive training, the program also includes creative activities such as circus quizzes, painting and board games. Teamwork is encouraged and at the end of the week a show is presented celebrating all successes.

Entrance and ticket sales

The small gala show promises a celebration for the whole family and the entry prices are more than fair: adults pay 5 euros, children between 3 and 14 years only pay 3 euros. Tickets can be purchased on August 20th and 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. directly on the workshop site or on August 23rd from 1:45 p.m. at the box office in the gala tent.

If you want to take part in the circus offerings or want to reserve a place, you should hurry up. The offer is not only attractive to the kids, but also to the parents, who appreciate that their children are in good hands and can discover their talents at the same time.
