Orgelmatinée in St. Margaret: Music enjoyment with free admission!
On Saturday, June 14th, visitors to the St. Margaret town church awaits a musical highlight: the second organ matatinée of the season. At 11.30 a.m., the talented organist Stefan Metz from Moosburg will develop the sounds of the organ, while performing organ sonata No. 7 f major op. 89 by Félix-Alexandre Guilmant. The concerts each last half an hour and are a wonderful opportunity to pause, let your mind wander and immerse yourself in the world of organ music. Admission is free, but donations to support church music are welcome, as Wochenanzeiger emphasized.
For everyone who does not want to go home after the concert, the church music association organizes church music on St. Margaret e. V. a reception. Here, visitors can look forward to a warm cooperation between drinks, cakes and the special organ wine. This not only promotes exchange, but also creates a pleasant atmosphere in which the focus is on encountering music and other like -minded people. Stefan Metz, who also works as head of Moosburg Münster music, brings a breath of fresh air to the church music of the region with his experience and his commitment and also teaches at the Munich University of Music and Theater.
Support of church music
The promotion of church music plays a central role in the parish of St. Kastulus. The Association for the Promotion of Church Music, founded there, supports numerous projects and the training of the singing youngsters of Moosburg Münstermusik. The members contribute to the realization of these goals through a defined contribution, but can also support additional projects and concerts with higher contributions. If you are interested, you can contact Muenstermusik (at) Sankt-kastulus.de directly by email. Donations are welcome and can be transferred to the Liga Bank account (IBAN: DE65 7509 0300 0002 1530 33), as can be read on Sankt Kastulus.
The church is not only a place of faith, but also a stage for musical adventures. The Musica Sacra support association at the Sankt Hedwigs-Cathedral in Berlin shows how important the applicable support for church music is. This association not only campaigns financially, but also ideally for church music. Both choral and instrumental ensembles as well as the musical training of children and adolescents are supported. In Berlin, an exciting project is currently being worked on: the renovation of the Schwalbennest organ of the Bonn organ construction company Klais from 1978, which will soon return to their traditional place. The total costs amount to around 500,000 euros, an investment in the future of church music, such as Archdiocese Berlin.
