Traditional gingerbread shop opens in Munich's Forum Schwanthalerhöhe!

In the heart of Munich, in the Forum Schwanthalerhöhe, a new shop opened its doors a few days ago, which is intended to fuel anticipation for the upcoming festive season. The new location belongs to Lebkuchen Schmidt, a traditional company from Nuremberg that is widely known for its artisan baking and the use of the finest ingredients. With almost a century of experience, the company brings not only local but also international delicacies to the Bavarian capital. As the tz reports, the new branch wants to specifically boost Christmas business and invite residents of the Westend to visit.

Schmidt’s Lebkuchen are not just sweets; they are a piece of Bavarian and Franconian culture. The traditional brand has made it its mission to bring its famous products, including the exquisite Nuremberg Elisenlebkuchen, which this year are even available with wild blueberries and marzipan, from Munich to the world. Particularly noteworthy is the “Gingerbread of the Year” collection, which has been developing new flavors since 2010. Varieties with roasted almonds, cinnamon or Sicilian blood orange invite you to go on an enjoyable journey of discovery. The Nuremberg tourism website gives an interesting insight into the craftsmanship and the history of the company.

The gingerbread cookies not only taste delicious, but also come in lovingly designed chests and tins that are suitable for collecting and giving as gifts. True to the motto “Chocolate with meaning”, Lebkuchen Schmidt attaches particular importance to sustainability. Renewable energies are used and the company offers climate-neutral parcel delivery. Fairtrade cocoa beans and our own reforestation project for cinnamon tree forests round off the responsible concept.

A look into the future

But it's not just Lebkuchen Schmidt that sets standards when it comes to Christmas treats. Pia and Vanessa Woitinek from Lebkuchen Woitinek also present individual solutions for corporate customers and resellers. They offer advice on corporate gifts and Christmas presents especially for the holidays. Compared to the usual products, they give their customers the opportunity to fill chests and cans according to their own wishes. Additional contact for interested companies is possible via telephone 0911-414221 or the email lebkuchen@woitinek.de, as on their website lebkuchen-woitinek.de is to be experienced.

The location in the Forum Schwanthalerhöhe covers an impressive 40,000 square meters and was recently upgraded. After well-known companies such as Decathlon and the insolvent shoe chain Reno had to close their branches, center manager Vladimir Tinchev emphasized that the third floor has now been converted into an adventure, leisure and fitness area. With the opening of the gingerbread shop, the shopping center shows that despite the challenges, retail continues to flourish and can boost Christmas business.
