Beastiestylez moves from Bogenhausen to Nymphenburg with mythical creatures!

In recent weeks, the Munich street art scene has made a name for itself because of the talented artist Beastiestylez has moved her residence from Bogenhausen to Nymphenburg. This did not happen without a certain amount of uproar, as the artist was unable to complete a two-sided mural in Bogenhausen because the cultural department did not provide enough money. Only one side of the wall is now decorated with her impressive motifs. The information about the missing funds was not passed on to the Bogenhausen district committee in a timely manner, which resulted in clear disagreements.

While the majority of the CSU, FDP and small parties rejected subsidizing the material costs, the SPD and the Greens wanted to support the continuation of the project. The result is that the east wall in Bogenhausen remains dreary and undesigned, while the other wall enchants with lively motifs.

Creative new beginning in Nymphenburg

As compensation for the unfinished wall, Beastiestylez received 3,060 euros, with 3,000 euros coming from the cultural department and 2,060 euros from the district committee for the redesign of a municipal utility house in Nymphenburg. Her new artwork depicts a woman surrounded by birds and is a tribute to her neighbor Linda, with whom she often shared the joy of feeding birds on their balconies.

Beastiestylez's large-scale works of art can be found not only here in Munich, but also in Germany's largest open-air street art gallery at Donnersbergerbrücke as well as in other cities and even as far as Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan. A real hit on the art scene considering how much her work is appreciated!

More exciting projects

Another equally committed street artist who enriches the Munich art scene is Dave the Chimp. After more than ten years he returns and has created an impressive work entitled “The Painter” on a 15 meter high wall. In his unmistakable style, his “Human Beans” tells of the challenges and adventures of life and is dedicated to the idea of working together for a better world.

Together with the creative energies that Beastiestylez and Dave the Chimp bring, Munich street art has apparently reached new heights and offers not only visual but also emotional experiences. The city is lucky to have such artists in its ranks.
