Beer, bratwurst and stage magic: Schwabacher Bürgerfest 2025 awaits!

The countdown has begun: From July 25th to 27th, 2025, the old town of Schwabach will once again be transformed into a pulsating center of culture and enjoyment. The 46th Citizens' Festival promises a varied program that has something for every taste. Over 100 program items on nine stages and a wide range of gastronomic offerings from 60 providers make this event an absolute highlight of the summer.

Organized by the Schwabach tourist association, the festival is traditionally celebrated on the last weekend before the Bavarian summer holidays. Visitors can expect a colorful mix of music, dance and art. Admission to the festival is free, but if you want a souvenir, you can get a Bürgerfest pin for 3 euros, as stadtfeste-in-deutschland.de informs.

Festive start and highlights

The Citizens Festival kicks off with a musical picnic on July 20th, followed by a pre-Citizens Festival party on July 24th. The festival will be officially opened on July 25th at 4 p.m. by the Goldschläger Trombones at Königsplatz. Just half an hour later, the traditional beer tapping takes place at Gambrinusbrunnen, followed by another at 5:30 p.m. at Königsplatz. The program for the first day of the festival lasts until 11:30 p.m., while the restaurants stay open until 12:30 a.m. nn.de reports that there will also be a full program on July 26th from 11 a.m. with dance performances, concerts and readings.

Particular attention will be paid to honoring the city cycling participants on July 26th at 6:15 p.m., and the following Sunday, July 27th, the day starts with an ecumenical service at 9:30 a.m.

Culinary delights and varied entertainment

When it comes to culinary delights, no wish will be left unfulfilled: from hearty bratwursts to vegetarian and vegan options, everything your heart desires is on offer. The many stands not only invite you to feast, but also offer a great children's program. Performances by kindergartens, face painting and a participatory concert for the little guests are planned. schwabach.de also emphasizes that local retailers will be contributing to the enthusiasm of festival visitors by offering shopping on Sunday.

Of course, a security concept ensures optimal conditions, as the Höllsteg is closed to pedestrians and terrorist barriers are set up. So nothing stands in the way of carefree celebrations.

There are also exhibitions and open studios to visit in the municipal gallery. The final concerts on July 27th at 7:30 p.m. round off the festival before it ends at 11:30 p.m. Visitors of all ages can look forward to a great festival - organizers recommend not missing out on performances by Fellow Rovers, Kathy Reed and Peter Levay! The community festival promises to be a feast for the senses and a source of unforgettable memories. Be there!
