Discover the hidden jewel: Feldmochinger See is waiting for you!
Munich nature has a lot to offer - and the lakes in the north of Munich are no exception! A trip to the Feldmochinger See is not only an excellent way to enjoy the fresh air, but also to experience a bit of history. The Feldmochinger See, with an area of 16 hectares and up to 6 meters deep, was once a hunting ground of the Wittelsbacher and today belongs to the so -called three -sea plate, together with the Lerchenauer See and the Fasaneriesee. The excellent water quality is due to three fresh water sources that feed the lake.
A circular route of about 2 kilometers invites you to explore the surroundings. The starting point is the S-Bahn station Fasanerie, from where a picturesque walk leads to Feldmochinger Strasse. According to tz.de it takes around 40 minutes. For families with children there is a large adventure playground on the west bank as well as a new area with wooden play equipment and a sand playground for the little ones. Wheelchair users also find suitable play equipment.
diverse leisure opportunities
On the east bank of the lake, visitors can expect a fitness course that simply invites you to linger and sports. If you get hungry, you can fortify yourself in the Feldmoching Seehaus, a Greek restaurant, or in the Kiosk Andys Seehäusl. And for grill fans there are special "grill zones" at the Fasaneriesee, which invite you to the sociable get -together. With its flat, shallow banks, the Fasaneriesee itself is also a popular place for families with children.
Both lakes, the Feldmochinger and the Fasaneriesee, offer a real natural biotope. On the south bank of the Feldmochinger Lake there is a viewing platform and a nudist area where you can enjoy nature undisturbed. There are numerous animal species such as blesshickers, ducks and carp, so that nature lovers get their money's worth.
committed community
The Interest Group for Aktiv e.V. has been active since 2009 and is not only committed to nature and environmental protection, but also for the integration of refugees and the organization of neighborhood festivals. With over 400 members, it shows how important the sense of community is in this village part of Munich, which, despite its central location, offers a charming mix of young families and long -established residents.
The journey to these wonderful places is simply: From the Fasanerie or the Feldmoching train station, you can quickly reach the lakes. Anyone who comes by car will find around 1000 parking spaces on the northwest bank. Whether on a Sunday walk, a picnic in the park or an active day on the water, the Munich lakes have something on offer for everyone.
For more information about the Fasanerie interest group there is a website at www.fasanerieaktiv.de and for groups or events you can contact info@fasanerie-akt.de contact.
The combination of history, nature and social get -together makes this region a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Enjoy the wonderful nature of Munich and explore the beautiful lake landscape!
