Art sensation in Untermenzing: Opening party for Menzinga on July 18!

Untermenzing, Deutschland - Untermenzing expects a very special art event. On Friday, July 18, the artist Martin Blumöhr will ceremoniously inaugurate his latest work "Menzinga" at the S-Bahnhof Untermenzing. The event begins at 4 p.m. in the pedestrian underpass on the Bauseweinallee and promises to become a festival for all art lovers. From 6.30 p.m., live bands will heat the mood with free admission. The artwork itself extends over almost 800 square meters and is therefore one of the largest murals in Munich, which was designed by a single artist. Blumöhr caught the environment, more precisely the district of Untermenzing from the perspective of the Würm river, which gives the artwork a unique note.

The Pasing artist Blumöhr is known for incorporating stories and motifs from the dialogue with passers -by into his works. With his current “Menzinga” project, he invites the Munich to share their personal stories and experiences, which are then creatively implemented as part of the mural. This is not only a unique opportunity, but also a sign of the lively interaction between art and the public. Like Hello-muenchen.de , he also designs the underpass of the Landshuter Allee on Dom-Pedro-Straße, where he also stories Neuhausen, such as treated by the Olympic site and invites passers -by for active participation.

art in public space: a strong piece of Munich

The Blumöhr project is part of the numerous initiatives to promote art in public space. The city of Munich has recognized what strength and joy art can spread and therefore promotes numerous creative projects. be-uns-in-muenchen.de emphasizes that works of art and installations on streets, squares and parks not only provide aesthetics, but also strengthen the sense of community. Urban art, as she creates Blumöhr, is now more than just a trend - it is part of the intellectual and cultural heritage of our city.

Blumöhr has already gained experience in the development of large -format works of art, for example with his “Tunnelblick” project at the Pasinger train station. His current “Niwenhaus” project is to transform the dreary underpass into a colorful world of images. This project, initiated by the district committee Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, once again shows how art lives and thrives in Munich.
