Series of burglaries in Munich: Police warn of unscrupulous perpetrators!
Crime statistics in Munich are currently making headlines as the city is facing a wave of burglaries that are causing fear among residents. The police can report several burglaries per day, and the situation appears to be getting noticeably worse. Incidents have increased in recent days, particularly in the districts of Bogenhausen, Schwabing, Neuhausen and Mittersendling. On October 29th alone, four burglaries were reported, all of which showed criminal energy and violence.
There was a break-in at a store in Bogenhausen at 1:15 a.m. The perpetrators forced open the front door and escaped with six-figure loot. The criminal police have taken over the forensics and the Commissariat 52 is investigating. A call for witnesses is aimed at people who have information about the streets Trogerstrasse, Geibelstrasse and Schumannstrasse.
Uncertainty in Schwabing and Neuhausen
Another incident occurred in Schwabing between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. when the perpetrators broke into an apartment by breaking down the door. They stole five-figure worth of valuables. Commissariat 53 took over the investigation here. Residents on Habsburgerstrasse, Hohenstaufenstrasse, Konradstrasse and Franz-Joseph-Strasse are also asked to come forward.
In Neuhausen, the criminals got into an apartment between October 27th and October 29th after sneaking into the stairwell. Here too, five-figure loot was secured. The police are also investigating this area and are asking for any relevant information on the streets Volkartstrasse, Albrechtstrasse and Artilleriestrasse.
A particularly brazen act took place in Mittersendling when perpetrators broke into a ground floor apartment in the early evening between 5:30 and 8 p.m. The patio door was also forced open. Here, too, there was a theft that resulted in five-figure valuables. The investigation is underway under the direction of Commissariat 53, and residents around Gottfried-Böhm-Ring and Liesel-Beckmann-Straße are called upon to help with the clarification.
Call for vigilance
The Munich police recommend that all citizens be particularly vigilant and check their surveillance cameras for possible recordings of the crimes. These collapses are part of an alarming trend affecting urban society. The police therefore urgently ask anyone who has observed anything or even encountered suspicious activity to come forward.
In these uncertain times, it is crucial that the community sticks together and acts together against crime. Every clue, no matter how small, can be important for the investigation. Take your safety seriously and find out about possible prevention measures.
The situation shows how important close cooperation between the police and residents is in order to improve the security situation in Munich. Let’s work together to ensure that all those who dive into the “black scene” are held accountable and that we can feel our city is safe.
