Concert Nature, speak my soul”: Experience the sounds of nature!
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, the time has come: the concert “Nature, speak out my soul” will take place in the St. Stephan Church in Sendling. This special event, which lasts from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., will take visitors into the world of sound poetry. Admission is free, but donations are expressly requested to support the community's musical initiatives. The concert promises a profound journey through music, with a focus on the themes of nature, life and death.
Contributors include talented mezzo-soprano Gillian Crichton and renowned organist Veronika Hudobivnik. Crichton, who studied at Cardiff University and the Royal Academy of Music in London, has sung at major theaters such as the Staatstheater Mainz and the Theater Basel. Hudobivnik, on the other hand, a Slovenian with an impressive education under well-known teachers, has made a name for herself as an outstanding organist. Together they will present works by Gabriel Fauré and Edward Elgar that musically address humanity's relationship with nature, in keeping with the spirit of the event.
A unique program
The program includes a fascinating selection of pieces that underline the versatility of the two musicians. Works by the French composer Albert Alain and the Austrian master composer Gustav Mahler will also be heard. These gentle yet powerful sounds will bring listeners into the natural beauty at home and encourage reflection on one's place in the larger fabric of nature. Whether it is about the expression of joy or the tragedy of life - music becomes a mirror of these complex emotions.
The event is aimed at a wide audience, with seating available for a maximum of five participants. Access to the seats is based on the “first come, first served” principle, as there are currently only two seats available for spontaneous visitors. Please do not allow accompanying persons to create an intimate atmosphere in which every listener can indulge in the music.
