What's going on in our region today? The road renovation work on the L600 state road between Gaiberg and Bammental is in full swing and is progressing according to current information from rnz.de according to plan. The first phase of construction is scheduled to be completed by Friday, July 11, 2025. But what happens next?
From Sunday, July 13th at 2 p.m., the traffic safety system will be rebuilt, while the second construction phase will start from Monday, July 14th. The L600 will then be completely closed between the Hauptstrasse/Fischersberg junction up to the entrance to the forest cemetery. During this time, the forest cemetery will only be accessible via Gaiberg, while driving through from Gaiberg in the direction of Bammental is not possible. The regional diversion via Gauangelloch and the Lautenschläger roundabout remains in place and is signposted accordingly.

As part of the work, the damaged road surface will be removed by milling, new asphalt will be installed and the protective barriers will also be replaced. The new road markings also ensure greater safety for all road users. All construction work should be completed by Friday, July 25, 2025 at the latest, with the aim of opening the route in time for the nature park market on July 27.
