New plans for old rescue station: social projects in Königsbrück!
Positive news from Königsbrück: The Bautzen district has sold the old rescue station. The buyer, a local entrepreneur, is planning a new usage concept that primarily focuses on social purposes. There is already a corresponding financing offer from a financial institution Sächsische.de reports.
The former rescue station, which was used as such until a new building was put into operation, is located on a 1,689 square meter site and includes a villa-like main building and a vehicle hall. In the past, the guard was not optimally equipped for today's standards; a reason why a new facility was launched at “Ehrlicht”. This modern station not only offers more space, but also has dedicated areas for vehicle halls and lounges to meet the needs of employees, such as Weekly Courier reports.
A look into the future
The new operator, Falck Rescue Service GmbH, has started operations in the new premises. While the old station was not easily accessible and therefore did not meet the current DIN requirements, the new station offers modern shower and changing rooms as well as a social area. Around 20 employees have space here to optimally take care of emergencies in the region. The investments amount to around 1.55 million euros, which shows that a good hand for the future has been demonstrated here.
The modernization of emergency services in Germany is a big issue. Comprehensive reforms are on the agenda for 2024, which were initiated by the Federal Ministry of Health, among others. This is not just about improving the supply structures, but also about networking the various systems; a concern that also... vdek supports.
Need for reform recognized
The rising costs of statutory health insurance and the doubling of expenditure on emergency services and patient transport have increased calls for reforms. The vdek and other organizations are calling for a fundamental overhaul of the emergency services. These innovations are seen as crucial to eliminating quality deficiencies and increasing efficiency in rescue services.
The sale of the old guard and the creation of a new concept could provide positive impulses not only for Königsbrück, but also for the entire region. A fresh approach to elderly care and patient transport could open a new chapter in healthcare.
