A notable highlight of his career was taking part in the 2023 U17 World Cup in Indonesia, where he saved two penalties in both the semifinals and the final, making a significant contribution to the German U17 team's title win. But that's not all: he also reached the EURO semi-finals with the U19s this summer.

The reasons for the obligation

He sees great potential in Heide and is sure that the young keeper can play a crucial role in the team. The fact that Tim Goller and Marius Gersbeck are injured for an indefinite period of time makes the commitment all the more urgent. At the moment Tjark Ernst is Hertha's first choice, supported by Dennis Smarsch. The challenge of competing for position is a welcome challenge for Heide.

Heide was pushed out of his position at Unterhaching in the second half of last season, which enabled him to make the move.
