CSD in Munich: Note traffic restrictions on weekends!

Pasing, Deutschland - On the weekend of June 28, Munich becomes the scene of a colorful spectacle, because the Christopher Street Day (CSD) is just around the corner. At the same time, the Königsplatz becomes a musical center with several concerts. The city is preparing for a hearty celebration, but that also brings some restrictions on public transport (public transport). As the Munich Transport Society (MVG) informs, passengers must expect detours and interruptions on Saturday.

The CSD in Munich is always a highlight and in 2025 the city expects an impressive march. The large political parade will move through the city center on June 28, starting at the Mariahilfplatz and ending on Ludwigstrasse. Around 200 groups are committed to the rights and acceptance of queer people under the motto "Liberté, Diversité, Queerité". The move is led by Mayor Reiter and the group "Dykes on Bikes", which has a tradition and gives the starting shot. This demo is not only the largest of this kind in southern Germany, but also shows the broad support from society, with participants in social initiatives, political parties and companies.
