An event of sporting significance is in full swing in Munich: the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan. A historic victory for PSG
The final would ultimately change everything: PSG won the Champions League for the first time and made history with a stunning 5-0 win against Inter Milan. Désiré Doué opened the score in the 12th minute with an assist from Achraf Hakimi. Just eight minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé made it 2-0 after his shot was deflected unstoppably. Inter showed more commitment in the second half, but Doué scored the third goal in the 63rd minute. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and 19-year-old Senny Mayulu eventually increased the score to 4-0 and 5-0 respectively, ensuring the biggest win in a Champions League final. Coach Luis Enrique, who also remembered his late daughter Xana on this emotional evening, was happy about the crowning success. PSG fans unfurled a tifo in memory of the coach and his daughter, which further increased the emotional density of the game.
