After a long break due to the pandemic, the popular street festival around the Old Town Hall in Karlsdorf-Neuthard is returning and is already celebrating its 36th edition. Under the motto “Gourmet Mile”, Amalienstrasse will be a meeting place for gourmets and families from July 26th to 28th, 2025.
The event begins on Saturday, July 26th, at 6 p.m. with the traditional tapping of the barrel by Mayor Sven Weigt. Starting next Sunday, the festival will continue with a delicious lunch starting at 11 a.m. During the holidays, numerous local restaurants and clubs provide culinary highlights and a varied program.
A celebration for the whole family
There is a lot to offer especially for younger visitors on Sunday, July 27th. The support association offers games and make-up activities from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., while the parish of St. Jakobus organizes an “open church” from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The street festival will not only be a treat for the palate, but also a place for encounters and exchanges.
Monday, July 28th, is also dedicated to information and security. At 5.30 p.m. there will be an informative event about current scams on the TSV stage in Rathausstrasse, organized by the Kleine Bühne, the TSV support association and the “Nessi network creates security”.
