Coffee enjoyment in mini style: Cuppa coffee bar opens in Schwabing!

There is now a new hotspot for coffee lovers and night owls in Munich: theCuppa coffee barat Clemensstrasse 15. The operator, Yanik Langer, a 31-year-old trained engineer, has put a lot of heart and soul into this small shop. He originally wanted to open a café in his home town of Kirchheim, but the charming coffee bar in Schwabing turned his head. Here he wants to create a meeting place for the neighborhood and create a feel-good atmosphere, far away from large chains and crowds of tourists.

With an area of around 50 square meters and only eight chairs, the Schanigarten is one of the smallest in Munich, but that's exactly what makes it so special. Inside, stylish furniture and inviting decoration invite you to linger. The manageable but fine menu is particularly appealing: it offers options for both vegans and vegetarians.

Delicious highlights on the menu

The “Cuppa Speziale” (13.50 euros) with mortadella, burrata, pistachio and spicy honey has its permanent place among the sandwiches. Vegetarians can look forward to the “Caprese” (12 euros), while vegans will get their money’s worth with the “Avo Cuppa” (12.50 euros), which combines hummus, avocado and chickpea crunch.

If you're craving something sweet, there are tempting options like lemon poppy seed cake and banana bread. There are also three different croissants that are served together with the perfect coffee highlight - including the popular espresso for just 4 euros or the cappuccino for 5 euros. The coffee beans come from the renowned Rößler’s roastery in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn.

Anyone who stops by on Saturday has the opportunity to start the evening at “Daydrinking” with an espresso martini (7 euros) or a Zehmerbräu Helles (3.50 euros) until 9 p.m. However, payment is only made by card and orders are taken at the bar inside.

Vegan breakfast dream in Munich

The coffee bar is not the only place in the Bavarian capital that offers vegan food and a cozy atmosphere. For example, this is Café Ooh Baby I Like It Raw known in the Glockenbachviertel for its creative breakfast offerings. Here, guests can look forward to playful creations such as avocado bread or bagels.

The Café Om Nom Nom On the other hand, it impresses with a modern, cozy atmosphere and offers, among other things, vegan “McMuffins” and kimchi grilled cheese sandwiches. If you're looking for a hearty, vegan alternative, you'll find what you're looking for in Café Emmi's Kitchen, where breakfast burgers and cinnamon rolls magically attract guests.

Another popular destination for vegans is the Cat Temple, where six cats from the animal shelter have found a home - a really cozy atmosphere in which you can linger over a coffee while the house cats roam around.

The variety of these vegan cafes makes Munich one of the hotspots when it comes to animal-friendly restaurants. Whether in Cuppa, Ooh Baby I Like It Raw or the many other cafés - there is something for every taste here!
