Now directly from Munich to London: The Flixbus is here!
The connection between Munich and London is now even easier with Flixbus. The new direct line takes travelers from Bavaria to the British capital in around 22 hours. This is real progress, because previously passengers had to expect changes that lasted between 23 and over 30 hours, as the Abendzeitung reports.
The bus route is offered once a day. The departure takes place from the Central Bus Station (ZOB) in Munich around 9:40 p.m., makes a short stop in Nuremberg shortly before midnight and makes further stops in Frankfurt, Cologne and Düsseldorf before finally arriving at the Victoria bus station in London around 7:00 p.m. the following day. The cheapest ticket prices start at around 74 euros, although an additional few euros may be charged for seat reservations. This makes traveling by bus an interesting and inexpensive alternative to the expensive flights, which charge prices between 83 euros and 321 euros for a two-hour direct flight from Munich to London. Even the train journey takes at least ten hours and costs around 220 euros, according to the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Important information about the trip
If travelers have doubts about the validity of their ETA, the consumer advice center warns them to be careful when booking, as dubious third-party providers are in circulation. These new offers from Flixbus could also be a real advantage, as Deutsche Bahn is also planning a direct connection from Frankfurt to London by the early 2030s. It remains to be seen how well the new bus connection will work in practice.
