IAA Mobility 2025: Munich's venue for the future of mobility!
Munich will once again be the venue for the IAA Mobility from September 9th to 14th, 2025. This important trade fair is considered the showcase of tomorrow's mobility and promises an exciting insight into sustainable, connected and intelligent mobility solutions. Whether well-known brands like BMW and Mercedes or emerging companies like BYD and Xpeng - they all present their visions for the future of mobility. Speed Magazine reports that in addition to the impressive open space in the city center, a summit on the exhibition grounds will also be part of the event.
In recent years, the IAA Mobility has developed into a central platform that not only shows innovations and trends in the automotive sector, but also offers space for networking between manufacturers, technology companies, suppliers and political decision-makers. Consumers can get up close and personal through interactive displays and test drives and give direct feedback, which makes the trade fair particularly lively.
Global expectations of mobility
An interesting trend that underpins the change in mobility is recorded in the first global IAA MOBILITY Trend Index. This examines mobility expectations in various countries, including Germany, France, China and the USA. The survey shows that individual mobility remains essential for those surveyed and that the car still occupies a central place for most of them. IAA Mobility reports that electric drive is considered the leading form of drive, while hydrogen drive is also becoming more important in many countries.
The survey, which was carried out by the opinion research institute Civey in collaboration with Cint, shows that the automotive industry enjoys great trust as a driver of innovation and a guarantor of prosperity. A high level of willingness to adopt autonomous driving is particularly noticeable in China, where citizens are also willing to share anonymized data.
Consumer trends in the automotive industry
Deloitte's Global Automotive Consumer Study, based on over 30,000 surveys in 30 countries, highlights consumers' rapidly changing expectations of the mobility experience. In Germany in particular, charging infrastructure and vehicle range are key challenges for the acceptance of electromobility. Many people would ideally like to charge at home, but access to home charging stations is often limited. Deloitte highlights that public charging times have a significant impact on consumers' decisions.
- Zu den vier globalen Trends gehören:
- 3. Wieder zunehmendes Interesse an autonomen Fahrzeugen, jedoch trotz bestehender Bedenken.
- 4. Jüngere Verbraucher:innen zeigen verstärkt Interesse an Mobility-as-a-Service statt am klassischen Fahrzeugbesitz.
The IAA Mobility 2025 is therefore not only a platform for manufacturers, but also an important forum for dialogue between industry leaders and political decision-makers. The trade fair will make a decisive contribution to actively shaping the mobility of the future and setting the course for sustainable solutions. It will be exciting to see what the future will actually bring us!
