76-year-old went missing in Munich after days, found safe and sound!

There is good news about missing people in the state capital Munich. The 76-year-old man from Feldmoching-Hasenbergl, who left his apartment early in the morning on June 4, 2025 and then went missing, has been found safe and sound. According to Nachrichten-Heute, the senior, who was not oriented due to his dementia, found his way back to his apartment. The extensive search measures that were quickly initiated were successful and he was handed over to their care after contact with his relatives. The police then called off the public search, but no details about the circumstances of his discovery have been released.

Unfortunately, this case stands in stark contrast to other missing people in Munich. There is currently a public search for two other seniors who are also missing. The case of a 77-year-old from Bogenhausen, who has been missing since April 18, 2025, is particularly worrying. The man, who also suffers from dementia, disappeared after leaving his care facility on foot. He measures around 1.82 meters, has white hair and a slim build. If anyone has information about his whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Munich Police Headquarters. Bavaria Police has called on all citizens to be attentive.

Worrying missing person cases

Another frightening case concerns an 89-year-old from Solln, who was also reported missing on April 18, 2025. This senior has left his home and may find himself in a helpless situation as he urgently needs essential medication. He was last seen at the Solln S-Bahn station. He is about 1.80 meters tall, has a slim build and is half bald. Information about his whereabouts is urgently sought.

In both cases, the police implemented extensive search measures, including units with dog squads. However, these measures have so far been unsuccessful, which only increases concerns about the well-being of the missing.

It is worrying that so many older people are currently missing. In other regions, such as Potsdam, there is also a constant search for missing seniors. One example is 84-year-old Lieselotte S., who has been missing since April 25, 2025 and also suffers from health problems such as dementia and disorientation. Extensive measures, including helicopters and rescue dogs, were also used here, but their location has so far been unsuccessful. Police support measures are essential in such cases and any information could be the key to a quick solution. Brandenburg Police is calling for evidence and information from citizens who can help find these missing people.
