Vintage tractor tour: Munich celebrates 200 years of Stelvio!
Attention tractor fans! A spectacular event started on June 22, 2025 that will make the hearts of many classic car lovers beat faster. Over 300 vintage tractors came together for the Stelvio Vintage Tractor Tour to master the impressive route over the highest road pass in Italy. The event marks the 200th anniversary of the Stelvio Road, which promises a very special experience for tractor enthusiasts and spectators.
It travels at a top speed of 30 km/h. What counts is not the fastest time, but rather the achievement of a certain average speed. One of the participants is 86-year-old Florian Häusler from Englschalking. He is taking part in this extraordinary tour for the seventh time and plans to complete the route, which has an altitude difference of 1,825 meters, in around one and a half hours. Häusler drives his 55-year-old Swiss Hürlimann vintage tractor and transported it to South Tyrol especially for the event - a journey that lasted six hours.
Special features of the tour
The route leads through 48 hairpin bends up to an altitude of 2758 meters - that's not bad! Riders from a total of twelve nations gather here to overcome the challenges of the tour together. The event promises not only exciting rides for the participants, but also a fascinating spectacle for spectators and fans of old tractors. Florian Häusler can look back on an impressive record, including 19 vintage car tours on the Großglockner, and is even planning to take part in the Gardeners' Anniversary parade in Munich in August, where he will distribute flowers.
Emotions and event highlights
The Stelvio Tractor Tour is much more than just a sporting challenge. It combines a passion for classic cars and the adventure that nature and impressive mountain landscapes offer. The opportunity to meet up with like-minded people and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere makes this event a highlight in every tractor lover's calendar. Kultur.bz.it reports also from the many participants who can look forward to a unique experience.
Registration options for the tour were available on the official website from February 15, 2025, with detailed information on the conditions of participation and an extensive program of events also provided. The event is organized by Vintage Car Club Vinschgau, who contributes to the joy of tractor enthusiasts with a lot of enthusiasm and commitment.
In summary: An event that celebrates the tradition of tractor driving, brings people from different countries together and, last but not least, focuses on the breathtaking beauty of Europe's mountain landscapes. There really is something going on!
