Munich S-Bahn users have to adapt to changes in the timetable today. How News.de reported, there are a total of temporary diversions on the S 6 line. The reason for this is repair work on a signal that will affect train traffic between Pasing and Ostbahnhof. These deviations begin and end today, September 5, 2025.
Due to these diversions, the Leuchtenbergring and Berg am Laim stops will no longer be available. For passengers this means that they should consider alternative connections. For example, travelers can easily get from Ostbahnhof to Leuchtenbergring with the S-Bahn lines S2, S4 or S8. Anyone traveling between Ostbahnhof and Berg am Laim can also change to the S2 or S4.
Further information from RVL Online states that renovation work on the track superstructure and signaling technology will take place in the Basel region from July 31st to September 14th, 2025. This means that the S6 does not run on the section between Basel SBB and Lörrach Hbf. Instead, replacement traffic will be set up. This includes express buses without stops between Lörrach Hbf. and Basel Bad Bf. as well as buses that serve all intermediate stops. In addition, the S6 is diverted four times a day via Weil am Rhein to Basel Bad Bf.
