From July 17th to 23rd, the districts of Aubing, Lochhausen and Langwied are high: The district week, which has been organized in cooperation with the district committees since 1977, is just around the corner! Under the motto "We do what", over 110 creative, clubs and institutions set a diverse program. Entry is free and the festival area on the Belandwiesenweg promises a balanced mix of culture, art and culinary delights. Because when the city becomes a big festival, this is a reason for everyone for everyone!
The opening of the district week is celebrated on July 17th at 7:30 p.m. in the big circus tent. Here the mayor Verena Dietl and the district committee chairman Sebastian Kriesel will address some greetings to the visitors. The evening opens up none other than the cabaret artist Roland Hefter with his program "So long it's so no". The event is set up by the cultural department, which also provides the stages and is responsible for the organization.

Visitors: Inside, a long -term evening program can look forward to. For example, guest appearances from artists such as the Couplet AG, Nouwell Cousines, Claudia Pichler, the hippie chamber orchestra and the Adjiri Odametey Trio are waiting for the guests. A very special highlight awaits children on Saturday morning: the live music history "Sarah and the Nix" is presented in the circus tent.
But the district week has much more in store! On July 19, the Grete Kultur Zentrum Freiham presented the evening "The Wild West - Midsummer Night's Dream of Improvisation Theater and Music". The after -work meeting in the gastro tent from 6 p.m. also becomes a social center, where local music groups provide entertainment. And for the little visitors there are numerous hands-on and game campaigns, such as the herbal salt or a cyanotype workshop that provide a lot of fun.

The extensive program also includes a vehicle show by the volunteer fire brigade and an open-air exhibition by the Aubingen group of artists, in which around 20 painters issue their works. The UBO9 cultural center also offers insights into the art scene with exhibitions of painters and object artists. Families can look forward to play and handicrafts that address all the senses.
There are a total of 13 guided tours on topics such as the U5 construction site and the former forced labor camp for inquisitive people who bring the history of the region to life. Of course, the "Open Daily in Freiham" and the cultural dult are also a must, where insights into the various residential projects and social institutions are granted.
