The crossing of Fürstenrieder Straße in the area of Agnes-Bernauer-Straße is currently completely closed to cars.
Current construction work and traffic measures
The western Agnes-Bernauer-Straße will have a one-way regulation in the east direction until mid-September 2025, which means that there will no longer be any left-turn traffic at the intersection of Fürstenrieder Straße and Agnes-Bernauer-Straße. It will also no longer be possible to turn right from the north onto Agnes-Bernauer-Straße. Drivers have to re-plan their routes using the surrounding road network, such as Landsberger Straße, to avoid unpleasant delays. However, from mid-September, two-way traffic will be possible again on western Agnes-Bernauer-Straße. Further changes are also underway: The eastern Agnes-Bernauer-Straße between Fröbelplatz and Fürstenrieder Straße has been closed in the west since August 27, 2025, until the middle of next December.
The city is making every effort to allow pedestrians and cyclists to continue to use all transport routes, even if they are sometimes staggered locally so as not to endanger the mobility of all road users. Tram line 19 will also be replaced by a replacement rail service during the construction period until December 19, 2025, which will result in further changes to operations. According to the city administration, pedestrians and cyclists can continue to pass through Agnes-Bernauer-Straße while motorized traffic is redirected.
