Stopped traffic on the A99: Accident causes massive traffic jams!

On June 27, 2025, a traffic accident on the A99 near Munich caused significant restrictions. The affected route extends between the Munich-Ludwigsfeld entrance (10) and the Allach tunnel, like news.de reported. The closure is in effect from 4:34 p.m. to 8:34 p.m. due to a traffic restriction related to an accident in the Allach-Untermenzing industrial district in which a vehicle was blocked for over 32 meters.

The Bavarian Traffic Management Center urgently warns road users of the possible consequences. Traffic is expected to be slow, so motorists using this route are advised to drive carefully and consider alternative routes.

Current traffic reports

A precise analysis of traffic safety takes place every day in order to be able to better deal with such incidents in the future. According to the Federal Statistical Office Accident-related information must be brought together to improve state transport policy in terms of infrastructure and safety.

Traffic jams and lost time

Caution is currently advised, particularly on the A99, as reports of traffic jams are increasing. For example, at 5:14 p.m. there was a 3.3 km traffic jam between the Vaterstetten Ost service area and Kirchheim b. Munich with an average speed of just 16 km/h. A time loss of up to 11 minutes was to be expected here. A few kilometers further, the traffic jam increased to 8.6 km between Munich-Fröttmaning-Nord and Munich-Ludwigsfeld with a speed of 29 km/h and a loss of 14 minutes.

The circumstances today illustrate the challenges in Munich's transport system. Road users are well advised to regularly inform themselves about the current traffic conditions and, if necessary, to choose alternative routes in order to avoid getting caught in the increasing traffic jams.
