Rivaro opens in Munich: figure from Florence on Gärtnerplatz!

Klenzestraße, 80327 München, Deutschland - What could be more refreshing than a really good ice on a warm summer day? On June 20, 2025, Munich now also has the opportunity to be enchanted by the Italian tradition of the gelato. Rivareno, a renowned Italian ice cream parlor, opens its first branch in Germany. Caroline Czwartek, the new owner, has been dreaming of bringing the original taste to Munich since her first visit to a Rivaro branch in Florence during a family vacation. The ice cream parlor is located on Klenzestrasse, very close to the Gärtnerplatz, a popular meeting place in the city.

If you take a closer look at Rivaro's philosophy, it quickly becomes clear that ice cream is not just sold here. The ice cream parlor is known for its particularly creamy gelato, which is made from high -quality, partly regional ingredients. It is freshly prepared for classic Italian recipes every day, without artificial additives. "Gusti" is the name of the different varieties here, and each costs 2.90 euros. A recommendation goes clearly to the "Cremino Dark", a dark chocolate ice cream that offers a real taste experience together with hazelnut butter and pistachio sauce.

an experience for the palate

But that's not all that Rivaro has to offer. In addition to the delicious types of ice cream, guests can also enjoy a delicious breakfast and cake from the "Kuchentratsch" Initiative. A very special highlight is the "Croigato", a filled croissant that costs 5.50 euros. This means that Rivaro stands for ice enjoyment, but also for a diverse culinary experience. The opening times are from Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For true ice lovers, Gelato is more than just a sweet snack. It is considered more flavor -intensive and creamier than German ice cream, provided the quality is right. This differs primarily from the lower fat content of a maximum of 7 % compared to the German ice cream, which usually comes up with a fat content of 10 %. In addition, Gelato traditionally does not contain any eggs, which explains the creamy consistency and more intense taste. Gelato is optimally served at about -9 degrees Celsius -the full taste comes into its own, as enemy explains.

a festival for the senses

Another culinary highlight in Munich is the impressive eleven-course menu that is served in the Broeding restaurant. This gastronomic journey is based on the Titanic menu. The event takes place in conjunction with the immersive exhibition "The Legend of Titanic" in the old package post office. Here guests can enjoy a menu that includes classic dishes such as poached char and truffle liver pate, for 300 euros per person. A moving taste travel!

With the opening of Rivaro, Munich becomes an exquisite ice cream parlor richer that will inspire both locals and tourists. A visit is not only worthwhile for the Gelato lovers, but for all those who appreciate the Italian way of life and culinary arts. If you would like to immerse yourself in the Italian egg tradition, you now have the perfect opportunity.

For all ice lovers and curious gourmets: A look at the new Rivaro branch can only be recommended! Further information on the opening can also be found in the video, which is provided on Merkur.
