Shock robbery in Ramersdorf: pistol and threats in the apartment!

As part of a spectacular trial at the Munich Regional Court, two men are on trial for aggravated robbery. The defendants are King O. (30), a vehicle mechatronics engineer and event organizer, and Ali F. (28), an office helper. The acts on which the charges are based occurred on June 20th of the previous year in Ramersdorf and are particularly aimed at the life and physical integrity of an employee of a betting shop. The Süddeutsche reports that the two men acted brutally.

Ali F. knocked on the victim's apartment door and asked to be let in with the words "The post is here." When the victim opened the door, King O. pointed a gun at him and the scene escalated. King O. held the victim by the neck with one arm and threatened that he would shoot him while Ali F. searched the apartment. The two stolen valuables with a total value of over 59,000 euros, including a Rolex watch worth around 40,000 euros and cash from a safe.

A second offense and brutal approach

The defendants are not only charged with the attack on the betting shop. They are also accused of a failed robbery attempt in Milbertshofen. In July 2024, the two of them and two unknown accomplices wanted to threaten a hairdresser. This attack resulted in violent clashes in which the hairdressing staff defended themselves with a broom handle. This shows how serious the situation is and that violence (not least in crime) also plays a role. Statista proves that dangerous physical injuries are a serious problem in Germany, especially on roads and paths.

A look at the current statistics shows that violent crime in Germany increased by 1.5% in 2024. This has reached its highest level since 2007. At the same time, the number of suspected children and young people has also increased, which is worrying. The BKA also reports that the proportion of non-German suspects in violent crime has increased by 7.5%. These developments raise questions about how efficient the German authorities' prevention and control strategies are in this area.

Process design and legal disputes

The trial at the Munich Regional Court therefore plays a central role in the current discussion about violent crime. King O. has confessed through his lawyer, while Ali F. is demanding that his defense lawyer drop or acquit him on the second charge. This shows how different the defense strategies of the two defendants are.

The trial continues and all eyes are on whether the two men will receive an appropriate sentence. Society is wondering what lessons can be learned from this case to combat violent crime and robberies in the future.
