20 years of the Milbertshofen Community Center: Celebration with musical and surprises!

A very special occasion is being celebrated in Milbertshofen! On November 12, 2025, the Milbertshofen Community Center will open its doors to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Many passing neighbors and friends are invited to attend the birthday party free of charge starting at 5 p.m. Cultural advisor Marek Wiechers will introduce the opening event with a greeting. The community center was founded two decades ago by twelve committed associations, including the Milbertshofen-Riesenfeld men's choir and the soldiers' and comradeship association. The cultural center was created when an air raid shelter that was used for the Jewish Center on Jakobsplatz was moved. Since then, the cultural center on Curt-Mezger-Platz has developed into a lively place for cultural encounters under the direction of Christian Hiesl-Schill, who has been at the helm since 2022.

Culture for everyone

But what does culture really mean in the community center? The variety of activities ranges from food and ratchet culture to regular events such as poetry slams and chess meetings to painting courses and dance evenings. Particularly noteworthy is the sound workshop for young people, which offers creative freedom under the guidance of social workers. One highlight is twelve-year-old Christian, who produced a music video called “8 Million” under his stage name Krisko089. The young talents will also be featured in the anniversary musical “Honk!” will be on stage, which is based on the fairy tale “The Ugly Duckling” and is scheduled to premiere on May 9, 2026.

Rehearsals for the musical begin on November 14, 2025 at 3 p.m. Here everyone can look forward to the actors between the ages of six and 20.
