What an adventure! The popular ZDF program "Dream Ship" has not only convinced in recent years with its rousing episodes, but also with the stories behind the scenes. The first appearance of Barbara Wussow , who became a real challenge for the actress, is particularly remarkable. The exceptional actress was difficult to find the way to the ship - and in the truest sense of the word.

In 2017, Wussow was wrongly flown to the wrong island: instead of Sal Rei, she landed on the island of Sal, where she spent the day comfortably with her costume designer and had no idea. In the evening, however, the shock came - an elderly gentleman headed for the two with a fishing boat to pick them up. The dusk had already broke out when Wussow and her colleague got on board with her suitcase.

After an almost endlessly long 20-minute excursion on the open sea, the light of the "dream ship" Amadea appeared on the horizon. But the joy was quickly overshadowed by uncertainty: to get on board, Wussow had to climb up a knitting conductor. "You are a Strong Woman, you can do it," she encouraged a steward named Angel. Despite initial doubts, the actress decided to accept the challenge and to climb the leaders.

Wussow describes the situation in an interview with Schlager.de and tells that this experience was actually actually integrated into the screenplay version in a modified form. Interestingly, the scene was then re -enacted in daylight in a port to give the difficulty version.
