Barbara Wussow talks about her dramatic mishap while filming the dream ship!
What an adventure! The popular ZDF program “Traumschiff” has impressed people in recent years not only with its rousing episodes, but also with the stories behind the scenes. Particularly noteworthy is the first appearance ofBarbara Wussow, which became a real challenge for the actress herself. The exceptional actress found it difficult to find her way to the ship - in the truest sense of the word.
In 2017, Wussow was mistakenly flown to the wrong island: Instead of Sal Rei, she landed on the island of Sal, where she spent the day comfortably with her costume designer and had no idea. In the evening, however, the shock came - an older gentleman drove towards the two of them in a fishing boat to pick them up. Twilight had already fallen when Wussow and her colleague got into the boat with their suitcase.
A suicide mission
After a seemingly endless 20-minute trip on the open sea, the light of the “dream ship” Amadea finally appeared on the horizon. But the joy was quickly overshadowed by uncertainty: to get on board, Wussow had to climb a rope ladder. “You are a strong woman, you can do it,” a steward named Angel encouraged her. Despite initial doubts, the actress decided to take up the challenge and climb the ladder.
Wussow describes the situation in an interview Schlager.de and says that this experience was later actually integrated into the script in a modified form. Interestingly, the scene was then re-enacted in a harbor in daylight to capture the difficulties.
A successful start
Despite this mishap, Barbara Wussow's first appearance in the "Dream Ship" is well remembered. The episode entitled “The Dream Ship: Maldives” was broadcast in 2018, marking the start of a new era for the actress, who is part of the well-rehearsed team around CaptainFlorian Silbereisenand colleagues likeDaniel MorgenrothandHarald Schmidtfeels good.
This incident shows once again that the lives of actors are much more than just glamorous appearances on the screen. In her final remarks, Wussow sees what happened as a moment that made her strong and looks back with a smile.
So it remains to be hoped that viewers will continue to get excited about “Dream Ship” and experience more behind-the-scenes experiences. Because as it turns out, even for the best teams, life is full of surprises - and they can't always be planned. Anyone interested can read the stories directly Bunte.de and Haller Kreisblatt read up.
