Modular Festival 2025: How to get to the highlight of the summer stress-free!
Next weekend it's that time again: ThisModular festivaltransforms the Munich Gasworks into a pulsating festival landscape. This music event promises a dazzling program and is powered by 100 percent green electricity, which not only impresses environmentally conscious visitors. Anyone who wants to experience the spectacle can look forward to optimal connections by public transport. Loud hallo-augsburg.de In particular, tram lines 2 and 4 from stops in Oberhausen are very practical: it is only about a 15-minute walk from the Oberhausen stop, while the Bärenwirt DRvS stop is only 10 minutes away.
For all night owls, there are additional busses in the evening that shuttle between the Bärenwirt DRvS and the main train station. These are in use on all festival days from 8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with the last departure towards the city center at 1:15 a.m. Buses depart as soon as they are full, so there is a convenient way for everyone to get home safely.
Flexible travel options
The festival itself is also easy to reach for cyclists: with the“swabi”Bike sharing offer from Stadtwerke Augsburg (swa), rental bikes are available directly at the gasworks. Here, festival visitors can use the promotional code “MODULAR” to travel for free for the first 30 minutes, with only a 10 cent unlock fee - this code is valid from June 6th to 8th. The general rule is: You must budget at least €4.00 per trip, although the exact price varies depending on demand and availability of public transport.
Water supply and sustainability
Another highlight of the Modular Festival is the free availability of drinking water. Visitors can refresh themselves at any time at the swa-Bulli and at four mobile drinking water dispensers on the site. This means that no one is left high and dry, even in midsummer temperatures. And best of all: The organizers rely entirely on ecological measures, which makes the festival an environmentally friendly experience.
