On the night of Sunday, July 14, 2024, at around 3:40 a.m., an extremely threatening incident occurred in the “Neuraum” disco on Arnulfstrasse in Munich. An argument escalated and led to a brutal physical attack on a 33-year-old man from Ingolstadt. He suffered significant facial injuries and had to be treated in hospital. The disco's security service separated those involved, but the perpetrators were able to escape. That same afternoon, the victim filed a complaint with the police in Ingolstadt.
As tz.de reports, the Munich police secured surveillance footage showing one of the perpetrators. Because of this, a public search was initiated by the Munich I public prosecutor's office. The police are now asking the public for help and are calling on witnesses who have relevant information to contact the Munich Police Headquarters, Commissariat 24, on 089 2910-0 or at any police station.
Current developments in the Neuraum case
Another incident that mars the atmosphere in front of the same discotheque is the attempted murder that took place on the night of May 7, 2025. A 31-year-old man was stabbed in a brutal attack and suffered life-threatening injuries. According to bild.de, two perpetrators have already been arrested, while another accomplice is on the run. The crime occurred around 3:30 a.m. and the suspects include a 23-year-old and two 19-year-old men. An 18-year-old, whom the public prosecutor also holds responsible for the crime, has not yet been caught.
The source continues to report that those arrested have not yet provided any information about the crime. Only one of the suspects confessed to his involvement in the attempted murder. The victim's condition has now stabilized, but he remains in hospital treatment. The murder weapon - a knife - remains undetected so far, but an arrest warrant has already been applied for against the suspects.
