Finally free! TSV 1860 Munich celebrates Ismaik's departure euphorically

Yesterday evening a piece of news caused excitement among the fans of TSV 1860 Munich: Hasan Ismaik has sold his shares in the traditional club. The announcement of the sale, which was made at 7:27 p.m., immediately made the rounds and led to general cheers in Giesing. The celebrations began shortly after 8:30 p.m. and were reminiscent of New Year's Eve with rockets and firecrackers going off at 10 p.m. The police were on site, but stayed in the background and allowed the fans to celebrate undisturbed. When one of the supporters said: "We fought for Ismaik's departure for 14 years", the general ambivalence was reflected - joy about the sale, mixed with a certain uncertainty about the future development of the club. Mercury reports.

The new shareholder is a Swiss family holding company that has reached an agreement with Ismaik. The purchase price is said to be over 25 million euros. Ismaik had been an investor in TSV since 2011 and has now handed over the shares to the new owner without any loan debts - apart from the financing commitments required for the license for the current season. The transaction is expected to be completed next week. The outgoing vice-president Karl-Christian Bay was significantly involved in the deal, and the savings banks had certified that the new shareholder had a high credit rating. The Executive Board is pleased with the new partner's long-term commitment to the club, especially with regard to planned measures to strengthen the Grünwalder Stadium as the home of TSV 1860. Evening newspaper highlights.

Future plans of the new shareholder

The new shareholder's plans not only include a renovation of the Grünwalder Stadium according to DFL specifications, but also the construction of a new sports hall near the performance center. This hall is intended to provide a new home for the TSV's amateur departments and youth teams. Hasan Ismaik said he wanted to leave the club debt-free and sees his successors in good hands. There is hope that under the new aegis peace will come to the club and the depressive phase that began with Ismaik's time as an investor will come to an end. The Süddeutsche comments on this.

Robert Reisinger, the club's president, has repeatedly had conflicts in recent years due to his proximity to investors, going it alone and keeping secrets. He announced the share sale now and says that issues regarding HAM International and Ismaik have become irrelevant. Reisinger sees the sale process as a positive turning point in the long history of TSV 1860 and is excited to see how things will develop under the new shareholder.
