Forgery of prescriptions: 32-year-old arrested in Munich!

On May 30, 2025, a man was arrested in the Munich and Freising districts for attracting attention with fake prescriptions for high-priced drugs for weight loss and diabetes treatment. The 32-year-old from the Munich district had tried to order medication in various pharmacies, but these were not handed over because they were identified as counterfeits. The staff then informed the police, who initiated an investigation and ultimately searched the suspect's apartment. The man is now facing serious allegations, including forgery of documents and violations of the Medicines Act, as the police reported. The Bavarian Police announces that the investigation is being continued by Commissariat 84.

But what exactly does it mean to use fake recipes? According to the law, using a counterfeit prescription is a clear violation that can result in immediate criminal prosecution. In addition to forging documents, allegations such as fraud in health insurance bills could also come into consideration. This includes, for example, money being collected from a pharmacy outside the direct debit due to an incorrect prescription. These counterfeits fall under the Medicines Act, which strictly regulates the handling of counterfeit prescriptions, as anwalt.de explains. The following applies: Regardless of whether the recipes come from the Internet or from a real doctor's office, the origin is irrelevant to the legal consequences.

Further crimes in Munich

However, the 32-year-old's arrest is not the only news from the Bavarian capital. Just a few days later, on June 4, 2025, the police were able to arrest a 36-year-old, who had no fixed address, after a series of car break-ins. Tips from witnesses led to the man being found sleeping in a garden. During the search, officers found documents taken from vehicles broken into between May 29 and June 4. The suspect was arrested and Commissariat 54 is continuing to investigate.

On the same day, an unfortunate incident occurred in Obergiesing where a 7-year-old girl was injured in a collision with a vehicle. The 22-year-old driver was waiting at an intersection when the child crossed the street. The police took over the accident investigation and announced that traffic disruptions were expected to last for around an hour.

Burglary and police work

Another reason for attention is a break-in that occurred on June 5, 2025 in Kirchheim b. Munich took place. Unknown perpetrators forced their way into a shop and stole cigarettes. The damage to the door amounts to over a thousand euros, while the loot is worth tens of thousands of euros. The police have also launched an investigation here and are calling on witnesses to report observations they have made in the affected streets.

In the midst of all these incidents, the Munich Police Headquarters has launched a positive initiative: the new coloring book for preschool children. It is intended to introduce the youngest children to important prevention content in a playful way. To mark the project's 25th anniversary, 10,000 copies were funded and distributed to preschool children on June 5th. This is how prevention work works, which also integrates a child protection song! This shows that the police not only ensure security, but also actively support the youth.
