This is particularly important because without an agreement he would not have been allowed to play for Bayern until July 1st.
The decision comes at the right time, as FIFA's transfer window for the Club World Cup, which runs until June 10, allows Bayern to sign new players or extend existing contracts. If everything goes according to plan, Tah could play in the first game against Auckland City next Sunday.
A player with experience
Jonathan Tah will not only be looking for a new challenge with his new number 4, but will also bring a lot of experience and character with him. OneFootball highlights that he has signed a contract until June 30, 2029.

The defender, born in Hamburg, began his career in the youth ranks of Hamburger SV and made his first team debut in 2013. After a successful time at Leverkusen in which he played over 400 games, including winning the Bundesliga and DFB Cup in 2024, Tah is now looking forward to finally playing for titles with the Munich team.
