675 years of Markt Au: A festival of cultures and surprises!

It's finally here! Preparations for the big festival in Au are in full swing. The 675th anniversary of market rights will be celebrated on July 26th and 27th. After the celebrations in 2024 had to be canceled due to weather, the anticipation and expectations are now even higher. Mercury reports that the festival will take place in the newly renovated Lower Main Street between the Mally-Hof and the market square at the town hall.

The program for this special weekend will appeal to all generations. There are three stages in total: in the Mally-Hof, in the Schlossbräukeller and on the market square. The culinary delicacies come from local clubs and innkeepers and promise to spoil the guests. Everyone will find what they are looking for here – regardless of whether it is for a small snack or a big feast.

A celebration full of highlights

What can visitors expect? A festive service on Sunday on the market square, which is just as much a part of it as the exciting “Stoahem” competition of the ASV wrestlers on Saturday. The handicraft market on Untere Hauptstrasse is also sure to attract many guests.
The children's program in particular promises great entertainment. Monique Sonnenschein, clown Toni Toss and the magician “El Gecco” Sepp Birnkammer appear here. The little visitors can also look forward to fairy tales from Daniela, Ronja's giant bubbles and a bobby car race. Children's face painting and craft fun from the youth care team round off the offer.

The exact program times can be found in a flyer presented by the town hall leadership. Markt-Au also provides information about the town hall's regular opening hours, which vary from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

After all, it is important to celebrate such an occasion properly.
