Oleksandr Usyk has made a splash again, securing the title of undisputed heavyweight champion after defeating Daniel Dubois in a thrilling rematch at Wembley Stadium. In front of 90,000 enthusiastic fans, Usyk, now 38 years old, secured victory with an impressive fifth-round knockout and successfully defended his WBA, WBC and WBO titles. He also added Dubois' IBF titles to his collection, like Gamereactor reported.
This was the second fight between Usyk and Dubois, the first encounter taking place back in August 2023 in Wroclaw, Poland. Back then, too, Usyk emerged victorious, with an early knockout. The first fight was a real thriller, with Usyk sending Dubois to the ground in the eighth and ninth rounds before the referee stopped the fight. In the rematch, it was Dubois who initially injured Usyk when he delivered a low blow to him, which briefly knocked Usyk to the ground Fight mag reported. However, Dubois denied breaking any rules.
