S-Bahn chaos in Munich: massive timetable changes until November 10th.

The people of Munich are particularly challenged today because Deutsche Bahn has announced significant changes to the S-Bahn timetable as part of the construction work on the second main line in the Laim area. As news.de reports, these deviations will occur in the period from October 31st to November 10th, 2025, with numerous stops and routes being affected, particularly on November 1st, 2025.

Travelers must prepare for all-day diversions, canceled stops and replacement bus services. There are the following changes for the S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7 and S8:

  • S1: Leuchtenbergring ↔ Freising/Flughafen – Züge beginnen/enden in Moosach.
  • S2: Erding ↔ Petershausen/Altomünster – Züge in Richtung Erding beginnen/enden an der Hackerbrücke.
  • S3: Holzkirchen ↔ Mammendorf – Züge in Richtung Holzkirchen beginnen/enden an der Donnersbergerbrücke.
  • S4: Trudering ↔ Geltendorf – Züge in Richtung Geltendorf beginnen/enden in Pasing.
  • S5/S7: Kreuzstraße ↔ Wolfratshausen – Züge werden ab Hauptbahnhof bis Wolfratshausen/Kreuzstraße verlängert.
  • S6: Ebersberg ↔ Tutzing – Züge in Richtung Ebersberg beginnen/enden am Ostbahnhof.
  • S8: Flughafen/Airport ↔ Herrsching – Züge in Richtung Flughafen beginnen/enden an der Donnersbergerbrücke.

Replacement traffic and further information

Replacement bus services are offered on several routes, especially at night, from 11 p.m. to the following day. Here are the details:

  • S2: Donnersbergerbrücke ↔ Allach (bis ca. 03:00 Uhr).
  • S3: Pasing ↔ Olching (bis ca. 03:00 Uhr).
  • S4: Pasing ↔ Geltendorf (bis ca. 08:00 Uhr).
  • S6: Pasing ↔ Tutzing (bis ca. 08:00 Uhr).
  • S8: Pasing ↔ Herrsching (bis ca. 14:00 Uhr).

Deutsche Bahn recommends that all travelers use the DB or Munich Navigator app as well as online information media to obtain up-to-date information. Track changes and extended travel times cannot be ruled out - so it's worth taking a look at the latest news before you start your journey.

Security in the digital age

At a time when digital applications are also in focus, the Xuper TV app is making headlines. As mentioned in infobae.com, it is the new version of Magis TV that aims to bypass remote legal and technical restrictions in several countries. But this application raises concerns about its safety and legality as it offers over 1000 channels, movies and series without a paid subscription.

What is particularly critical is that the download does not take place via the Google Play Store and users have to install the app manually. This increases the risk of unknowingly loading malware or spyware onto the device. In fact, the app requires excessive permissions, allowing access to personal data and thus potentially resulting in accidental sharing.

Given these circumstances, it is advisable to exercise caution and be aware of the risks when using such applications. In times when technology and security should often go hand in hand, avoiding unsafe downloads might be wiser.
