Traffic chaos threatens in Munich: major construction site from today until tomorrow!

Significant traffic restrictions can be expected in Munich from today, June 30, 2025, until July 1, 2025. The reason for this is tunnel maintenance work on Candidstrasse, which will be carried out between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. This will affect traffic in the direction of the Mittlerer Ring between Candidtunnel and Otkerstrasse. The construction site extends over a length of 248 meters and will cause increased traffic volumes and possible traffic jams in the area.

But from today on there will also be movement on Grünwalder Straße. There, too, tunnel maintenance work is pending, which is a total length of 251 meters. This work will also take place until July 1, 2025 and affects the area leading from the road to the Middle Ring. The Bavarian traffic management ensures that drivers are informed about the restrictions and asks for their understanding for the necessary work.

• Fürstenrieder Straße: Einspurige Befahrbarkeit zwischen Ammerseestraße und Laimer Kreisel aufgrund von Vorbereitungen für den Bau der Tram-Westtangente.
• Gerty-Spiess-Straße: Derzeit für Fußgänger*innen und Radfahrer*innen nicht nutzbar.
• Geiselgasteigstraße: Vollständige Sperrung in Richtung Grünwald, Tram-, Fuß- und Radverkehr sind jedoch betroffen.
• Garmischer Straße: Bauarbeiten bis August 2025 mit Einschränkungen für den Autoverkehr.
