Renovation work on Fürstenrieder Straße: measures and changes!
In Munich, the renovation work on Fürstenrieder Straße is in full swing. As muenchenunterwegs.de reports, the SWM (Munich Municipal Utilities) recently successfully filled voids in the tram west tangent construction site at the intersection of Fürstenrieder Strasse and Gotthardstrasse. This measure is part of the comprehensive work, which also includes the grouting of the central area of the construction site.
The continuation of the soil remediation is expected to last until mid-December. What is particularly important for road users is that the one-way regulation on Fürstenrieder Straße between Camerloher Straße and Gotthardstraße has been lifted since late Wednesday afternoon. However, the Gotthardstrasse crossing over Fürstenrieder Strasse will remain completely closed until mid-December. The closures are necessary to avoid later traffic restrictions and to ensure consistent construction site logistics.
Pedestrians and bus routes in focus
A lot has also changed for pedestrians. The northern pedestrian crossing over Fürstenrieder Straße was moved north and can now be found at the height of the city library. The southern pedestrian crossing has been moved about 100 meters to the south. For people with limited mobility, a shortcut through the barrier floor of the Laimer Platz subway stop is recommended to make the route as uncomplicated as possible.
There is also good news for bus route users. Lines 51 and 151 have been running on their regular routes again since operations began on Thursday. However, the Aindorferstrasse stop in the north direction remains unserviced.
