TSV Ebersberg has caused a stir recently. On July 10, 2025, the men's team celebrated the district league championship and is returning to the district league after four years. This achievement was largely achieved with players from our own youth, which is a particular joy for the club. “It is important for us to establish ourselves in the district league,” said coach Michael Hieber, who, together with Manuel Markio, made a significant contribution to the promotion. Before the start of the new season, the players are now taking a short break before the league games start at the end of July, as bfv.de reports.

But the celebration only lasts for a short time, because the club has already set its sights on the future. Last weekend there was a test match against a northern district league team in the local youth stadium. The original venue in Lerchenau had to be changed at short notice because the pitch was unplayable. Despite the unusual conditions, Ebersberg managed a 3-2 win. Moritz Eglseder, Jonathan Kisungu and Almin Lidan were the goal scorers who brought their team back into the game twice.

The coach is optimistic: “The team’s first guard is taking shape,” says Hieber. The coach has over 20 players at his disposal, even if some like Marinus Pohl, Lukas Volkmann and Dominik Pries have to take a break. The second team starts preparations next week and some players from the first team squad will play there to gain match practice.
