ERNE produces 1200 wooden hybrid ceilings for Munich's new office project!
In Munich, the current construction projects are causing a lot of movement in the industry. Particularly noteworthy is the project by the construction company ERNE, which produces wood hybrid ceilings for the Tridea office complex in its new factory in Stein. How point4.info According to reports, a total of 1,200 of these ceilings will be manufactured on behalf of ZÜBLIN Timber, which will be installed in two impressive buildings with 12 and 15 floors on the former Siemens site in the Bogenhausen district.
The entire Tridea construction project is scheduled to be completed by 2028. The wood hybrid ceilings are produced in a modern factory that ERNE Holzbau opened in Stein in the canton of Aargau in May 2025. There are 37 work tables available on 7,600 square meters, allowing a maximum daily capacity of 30 elements. What is noteworthy is the in-house drying chamber, which can guarantee that the drying process will be completed within a day. An innovative plotter system is also used, which enables millimeter-precise markings of the ceilings.
High production output and utilization
ERNE's production hall is almost at full capacity and has already produced 2,700 wooden hybrid ceilings since it went into operation. With space for up to 800 blankets in the factory, the company can respond to demands at short notice. “We see hybrid wood construction as a crucial factor for the circular economy,” explains Fabian Franke from ERNE Holzbau. Innovative approaches to resource-saving construction were recently presented at the Circular Building UnConference 2025 in Dübendorf ZH.
The considerations surrounding sustainable construction are not only given great attention in the industry. Prestigious awards are also not far away: ERNE has been nominated as a finalist for the Prix SVC Nordschweiz, which will be awarded on November 13th at the Congress Center Basel. A family business that was founded in 1906 and is now run by the fourth generation has earned a permanent place in the future-oriented construction industry.
Technological innovations and access for educational institutions
But the future is not only being worked on in the construction industry. The digital landscape is also dynamic. Microsoft has announced the availability of the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app. With a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription, users get relevant access to this application, such as office.com reported. The app is designed to also respect corporate data protection, which is particularly important for faculty and students aged 18 and over.
These developments, both in the construction and technology sectors, impressively show how dynamic the market in Munich is. While innovative construction projects shape the city center, the digital world is also equipping itself with new tools to meet the demands of modern society - a sign that something is really moving here.
