A serious traffic accident in Munich caused a stir yesterday. On Thursday, January 15, 2026, around 5:25 p.m., a 65-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street on Hansastrasse when she was hit head-on by an unknown car. The driver of the accident car continued his journey towards Baumgartnerstrasse without paying any attention to the seriously injured lady. The pedestrian was dragged several meters before falling to the ground. The Munich traffic police have taken over the investigation and are calling on witnesses to come forward. But that wasn't the only incident that day. Already in the morning, around 2:00 p.m., there was another serious traffic accident in Grünwald. Here an 85-year-old pedestrian was hit by an Audi driven by a 52-year-old woman. She also crossed the street and was injured in the collision. Tölzer Straße had to be closed while the accident was being investigated, which also led to traffic disruptions.

Another unpleasant event also occurred in the city area. A 53-year-old pedestrian was hit by a turning car on Lindwurmstrasse on November 26, 2025 while crossing the street when the light was green. The driver of the white car continued driving without stopping. The pedestrian had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries.
