Next Saturday, June 21st, Allach near Munich will celebrate its popular village festival for the 33rd time. This special event has developed into a real highlight in the Allach event calendar over the years and attracts both long -established and new faces. The Wochenzeiger Edwin Reng initiative was launched to support the volunteer work of the fire brigade.
The fire department Allach has tirelessly worked on the organization of the festival since then. The proceeds go directly to the purchase of important equipment, such as a defibrillator and a thermal imaging camera. These modern tools are crucial in order to be able to react in the best possible way in emergencies. An impressive tradition that has proven itself and is still in good memory is also the first event, which, despite the initial rain, attracted many visitors. Even beer table sets were set up, and the festival ended in a lively mood until late at night.
The development of the village festival
A lot has happened since the first festival in 1989. The village festival took place on Hans Zaun's farm until 2002 before moving to the grounds of the clubhouse in 2003. With the change of the Hacker-Pschorr brewery to Löwenbräu, there was also a change of tradition. At the latest since 2014, when a cooperation with the Augustiner brewery was started and since then every Saturday traditionally a wooden barrel has been tapped at 12 noon, the festival has developed into the center of the Allach community. Particularly noteworthy: The beer only went out during the festival-a record of 50 hectoliters that remains unmatched to this day, as the Allach
Every year a new music group is hired that create a good atmosphere. The village festival not only contributes to the delight of the residents, but also promotes cohesion within the firefighting team. Preparations for the next festival usually start immediately after completing the current, which shows how important this event is for everyone involved.
a festival for young and old
The village festival managed to become a central social event for young and old in the region. It offers a colorful supporting program and strengthens the community in Allach. It is particularly noteworthy that the humorous evenings that took place in 2014, 2016 and 2018 were well received. A planned concert with “Haindling” in 2020 had to be canceled due to the pandeme, which showed the unpredictable challenges that the Allach fire brigade also had to cope with.
The posters of the village festival, which have been designed since 1989, are hung in the fire brigade Stüberl and show the development of the festival. The unchanged design contributes to the identity and history of the traditional festival and is valued by the residents.
Overall, the village festival is not only a festival, but also a sign of the cohesion and the tradition of Allachs, which is kept alive. As the Dorfeste in Germany , such events are not only a cultural expression, but also an important opportunity to strengthen the feeling of community and appreciate the voluntary work.
