Christian Vorländer leaves city council and becomes boss at Messe Munich!

After a good eleven years in the Munich city council, Christian Vorländer draws a final trich. From July 1, 2025, the 41-year-old will take over the management of the Mobility division at Messe Munich and will also be responsible for the IAA Mobility. At the same time, this means that he will resign his city council mandate and all political offices. As Wochenanzeiger , his mandate will be officially relocated on June 30, 2025 effective. For the SPD, Stefanie Krammer, politician from Sendling-Westpark, succeeds the city council.

The decision to switch to Messe Munich was no accident. Vorländer, which has been active in the city council since 2014 and acted as deputy group leader of the SPD/volt, has always been committed to a service -oriented city administration in the political work. In his new job, he will report to Co-CEO Stefan Rummel and is also responsible for the IAA Mobility. His predecessor, Christine von Breitenbuch, remains project manager of the IAA.

an engagement for equality

his commitment to the city and the people have always been a major concern. It is particularly important to emphasize its use for equality and protection of LGBTQI people. Vorliche established a holistic security concept that goes beyond police operations and emphasized the importance of humanity in inter -religious dialogue and the fight against right -wing extremism. In the SPD, it is considered to be a significant loss, especially at a time when there are numerous withdrawals in the city council, such as from Nikolaus Gradl or Felix Sproll.

Currently, the concerns of the LGBTQI community in Munich are under special observation. According to Süddeutscher Zeitung , the city under the direction of Andreas Unterforsthuber, head of the "coordination office for equality of LGBTIQ*" to combat worrying increase in hate crime against LGBTIQ persons. Measures such as the expansion of community facilities and the creation of shelters should help to improve security in the city.

a new way and a farewell

Despite his decision, Vorländer looks at his departure from active politics with mixed feelings. He expressed his thanks to his companions and recognized the challenges associated with his new position. "I will do my best in the new role," he emphasizes. His successor, Stefanie Krammer, will surely be able to build on his experiences, while the front -manage focuses on the design of mobility in Munich.

With its move to Messe München, an interesting chapter of Munich city policy closes, while the city at the same time has to face the challenges of security and equality for all citizens.
