Young people steal their petty bike in Horssee - police are looking for witnesses!

In the past few days, there has been a lot going on in the Horsesee district of Munich. On Sunday, June 15, 2025, three unknown teenagers tried to steal a petty bike from a garage on Chemnitzer Strasse. The perpetrators, whose age is valued between the ages of 14 and 17 and who have an Eastern European appearance, were able to flee in their discovery. An attentive witness watched the incident and informed the police, who are now investigating attempted theft. Anyone who can provide information about the perpetrators or the incident is asked to report on 0821/323-2610. These types of offenses make a highlight of the current situation of youth crime, which has reached a new high in Germany last year. According to [Statista] (https://de.statista.com/themen/8074/jugendkriminalitaet-in-Deutschland/) there were around 13,800 cases in Germany in 2024, which is more than twice as much as 2016.

But that was not the only incident in the region. In the night from Saturday to Sunday, June 14, 2025, an accident occurred on Gollwitzerstrasse. An unknown driver damaged a parked white Seat and disappeared without taking care of the property damage of around 500 euros. The police also investigate here and asks for evidence of witnesses under the same number.

traffic offenses and control measures

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, numerous controls were also carried out in traffic, in which various violations were noticed. In Lechhausen, a 24-year-old driver was stopped who was traveling with a not registered chassis. His onward journey was prevented until he can present the necessary documents.

A spectacular traffic accident occurred on the B17. A 63-year-old driver had to brake, which led to a rear-end collision with two other vehicles. One of the drivers, a 23-year-old, was slightly injured, while the property damage amounts to around 33,000 euros. The police are investigating the 38-year-old driver for negligent bodily harm.

In Oberhausen, a 29-year-old was checked who showed drug behavior. The rapid drug test was positive and the police prompted blood to take blood. Another driver who was checked that day had a breath alcohol value of 1.2 per thousand and also had to end his journey.

The role of youth crime

The increase in youth crime in Germany is influenced by various factors. Experts of the bka list psychological stress as a result of corona measures and the challenges for young protection seekers. A third of the young suspects are male, and in judicial convictions, this proportion is even 84 percent. Here the question remains which preventive measures can actually make an improvement.

In an exciting, but also worrying trend, the statistics show that more and more young people between the ages of 14 and 17 and adolescents between the ages of 18 and 20 are involved in criminal acts. It is therefore important that legal frames are covered in order to find appropriate solutions and to focus on prevention.

So stay vigilant and inform the police when you witness to crimes. Your hint can be decisive! Whether in Pference or elsewhere, the protection of the community is important to us.
