Particularly noteworthy is this Munich Theater Week, which is taking over the city's stages until Sunday, June 8th. With an impressive range of performances, viewers can expect highlights such as the musical “La Cage aux Folles” and the production “Ah, this gap, this terrible gap”. The little guests don't miss out either, as puppet shows for children and exciting city walks round off the program.
Cultural highlights on Friday
On Friday, June 6th, at 7 p.m. in the Church of the Ascension in Munich-Sendling Bach cantatas studio go. Two masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach will be heard here, including the famous cantata “Wake up, call us the voice” (BWV 140). Admission is free, donations are welcome.
Also on Friday at the Munich University of Music and Theater (HMTM). XPLORE finals celebrated. From 7 p.m., young talents will present their skills and a jury will select the best of them. Musical delights also await visitors to St. Andrew's Church, where the Pianist Club Munich Performs works by Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms.
In Dachau it starts at 7.30 p.m Dachau Music Summer with live bands from the areas of jazz, funk, swing and Latin. Under the open sky, visitors can not only enjoy good music, but also try out local gastronomy.
Relaxation and enjoyment on the weekend
