Just one day after the first accident, two traffic accidents occurred in the Ingolstadt region on November 3, 2025, which attracted the attention of the traffic police. The first incident happened around 6:20 a.m. in Gaimersheim when a 32-year-old from Memmingen wanted to turn into the intersection with the district road EI 12 in his Toyota without noticing the right-of-way of the approaching Audi of an 18-year-old from Neuburg. Both vehicles collided in the junction area, resulting in minor injuries to both drivers. While the emergency services on site looked after both victims, one was taken to hospital. About four hours later there was another accident in Ingolstadt, this time around 10:30 a.m. A 52-year-old Ingolstadt resident was driving his Audi on Am Mailinger Moos Street when he ignored the right of way of an unknown driver in a black VW Crafter when turning into St.-Martins-Platz. He also planned to turn left onto Am Mailinger Moos and a collision occurred. The result: damage of around 1,000 euros to the Audi, while the VW Crafter, which continued its journey without legal obligations, may also have suffered damage. Overview of traffic accidents in Germany

A particularly worrying trend is the increasing number of accidents involving e-bikes and e-scooters, with e-bike riders being frequently involved in accidents relative to the total number of users.
With the “Vision Zero” initiative, the EU transport ministers are aiming to have no more traffic deaths by 2050. To achieve this goal, better infrastructure, greater awareness among road users and the introduction of autonomous vehicles are required. However, it remains to be hoped that humanity will not forget its responsibility and consideration in traffic.
