Nichole “Nickie” Suzanne Hendricks, who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 76 in Oakmont of Westpark, Roseville, California, leaves behind a multitude of memories for family and friends. Born on February 25, 1949 in New York City, Nichole was the daughter of Irma Rodríguez of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and Grover K. Hendricks of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Nichole had an impressive professional life. At just 20 years old, she gained national recognition as a top saleswoman for Periodical Publishers. At just 25 years old, she had the courage to start her own company and achieved record-breaking sales. Her generosity was legendary; she supported many family members and ensured that they lacked nothing.
Love of travel and joy of life

Her later enthusiasm for the Sacramento River Delta resulted in the purchase of several boats and an active membership in a yacht club. This passion for the water and travel reflected her unforgettable spirit.
She not only leaves behind her son Brian and her brother Roger, but also a large number of friends who mourn her. In Las Vegas, where she valued urban life and community, there were many people who hold fond memories of her.
Remembrance and farewell
A memorial service honoring Nichole will be held on November 4, 2025 at the 24th Street Bingo Hall in Sacramento, California. An invitation to attend will follow and is expected by many who would like to celebrate Nichole’s life.
Death itself is a topic that many of us find difficult. Whether due to the uncertainty about one's own farewell or worries about loved ones - dealing with death is often painful and challenging. In Germany, for example, around 60 percent of people believe that the topic of death is taboo in society, which often leads to them having to deal with their own death late or not at all.
Despite the difficult topic, it is important to think about your own farewell early on - be it in the form of funeral wishes or decisions if you are unable to make decisions. Dealing with the topic respectfully can help not only the deceased but also those left behind to come to terms with the loss.
In memory of Nichole Hendricks, the celebration of her life will provide a space to reflect on the beautiful moments and the many stories associated with her. When grieving the loss of a loved one, it is often the sharing of memories that provides comfort and hope - something we all need in these difficult times.
