New pizza paradise in Munich: L'Osteria impresses in the Glockenbachviertel!

In the heart of Munich, more precisely on Klenzestraße in the Glockenbachviertel, the popular Italian restaurant chain L’Osteria opened its 13th location in the greater Munich area on July 10, 2025. Near Gärtnerplatz and the Isar, the new pizzeria attracts food lovers looking for delicious, traditional Italian cuisine. General Manager Maximilian Jilg leads a 40-person team that wants to offer guests an unforgettable experience.

The new L’Osteria is impressive: with 140 indoor seats and around 90 terrace seats, it offers enough space for families and groups of friends. The huge pizzas with a diameter of 45 centimeters, which are perfect for sharing, are popular. “When you try the Pizza Margherita, you immediately understand why we are so popular,” smiles Jilg. Prices for the pizzas start at 7.75 euros and can go up to 11.75 euros for the “Pizza Gamberetti”. There is also a selection of 27 different pizzas, 11 salads from 4 euros and 12 pasta dishes from 7.50 euros. Antipasti and desserts are also on the menu - a real treat at prices starting at 5.50 euros for antipasti and 4 euros for desserts.

Gastronomy on the rise

L’Osteria has continuously expanded since it was founded in Nuremberg in 1999. The restaurants are now represented not only in Germany, but also in Austria, Switzerland and England. Loud Statista Gastronomy is an important economic factor in Germany. In 2022, the industry generated sales of over 67 billion euros - a record that shows how much eating out is valued as a leisure activity. Around 60 percent of couples and families enjoy eating out, which explains the continued demand for restaurants like L’Osteria.

The team around Maximilian Jilg attaches great importance to team cohesion and further training. Jilg himself has had a distinguished career, has been working at L’Osteria for six years and began his career as a temporary worker during his training. “We have a good hand for our employees and their development,” he notes. This in turn contributes to the positive atmosphere in the restaurant and is also reflected in the feedback from guests.

Fresh ingredients and a variety of dishes

Fresh, Italian ingredients are the key to L’Osteria’s success. The chain attaches great importance to ensuring that the food is presented in an attractive manner and that the ambience is right - a quality standard that varies depending on the location. The country-specific adaptation of the menus and the introduction of seasonal dishes in the “Menu della Casa” ensure that guests keep coming back.

L’Osteria’s hospitality and creative cuisine are no coincidences. They are the result of a well-thought-out corporate philosophy that has been continuously pursued since it was founded in 1999. Maximilian Jilg and his team are ready to pamper Munich's palate and are looking forward to numerous hungry guests in the new L'Osteria.
