Experience Augsburg's history: Exciting tours in July 2025!

Stadtwerke Augsburg (swa) is launching an exciting tour program in July 2025 under the motto “experience swa”. It is intended to provide insights into different facilities and arouse enthusiasm for the regional infrastructure. The planned events include, among other things, tours on the historic tram and tours of our waterworks, which not only provide interesting information, but also enable historical aspects of the city to be experienced. This Saturday, July 5th, interested citizens can look forward to a special tour on the historic tram, which departs from Königsplatz at 2:05 p.m., 3:05 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. There will also be a look into the past on Sunday, July 6th, when the historic Hochablass waterworks invites you to visit it freely between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., with the guided tour starting at 3 p.m.

Offers in July

Further highlights in July are the tours of the bus and tram workshop on Sunday, July 13th. Here, interested parties are given an insight into the maintenance of the fleet. Children and adults will have the opportunity to explore the historic gasworks in Augsburg on Sunday, July 20th. There are guided tours in which the gasworks becomes a center for culture and creative industries. There is something for every taste.

The tours of the Augsburg gasworks are particularly interesting, as it has become home to artists from various disciplines since 2019.
